Tryon app helps you win more sales with Try Before You Buy

by | Jun 26, 2024 | What's Next Series

WHAT'S NEXT: Learn how Amir Gabay, founder of Tryon, can help you win more sales with Try Before You Buy.

⁉️ WHAT IS TRYON?

Tryon enables merchants to implement the ‘Try Before You Buy' strategy while securing their funds with just a few clicks. By adding a free trial option, merchants can experience up to a 2x increase in conversion rates and build unbeatable brand trust, helping them outperform their competitors.

🀩 WHO DO YOU SERVE?

Tryon is a Shopify app that assists merchants across multiple niches, primarily in fashion, accessories, home decor, and beauty.

🌟 WHAT'S STANDOUT ABOUT TRYON?

Tryon strives to provide merchants with a comprehensive ‘Try Before You Buy' experience, including fund security, automated email communications, advanced integrations, and breakthrough features.

⏭️ WHAT'S NEXT AT TRYON?

We believe that Tryon is at the forefront of the future commerce experience. Power has been shifting towards the customer in recent years, beginning with free shipping and evolving into improved refund policies and free returns. ‘Try Before You Buy' represents the next step forward, allowing customers to pay only when they are certain they want the product. This approach enhances their purchasing confidence and eliminates many barriers they face when considering a purchase.

With this vision in mind, we aim to integrate Tryon into more customer decision points in the longer future. Beyond our product page button, we are developing buttons for product cards and post-purchase funnels. Eventually, it will be integrated with smart recommendations to offer try-at-home experiences to the right customers at the right time. Additionally, following multiple requests, we are expanding Tryon's capabilities to include rental services as well, utilizing Tryon's funds securing system.

πŸ“ˆ WHAT'S NEXT IN YOUR NICHE?

‘Try Before You Buy' is a compelling strategy that has been evolving over the last few years. Amazon launched their ‘Prime Wardrobe' try-before-you-buy option in 2018, and since then, an increasing number of brands have incorporated this strategy into their offerings. It has also expanded from higher-priced products to increasingly lower price points and has broadened from reusable products (like in fashion) to consumer products (like cosmetics, which include a sample to try before using the actual product). We anticipate that more brands will adopt this strategy as those who are first to do so can outperform competitors who have not yet embraced it. In addition, more and more niches are finding interesting ways to apply this strategy to their products, and some solutions are very creative.

❀️ WHO SHOULD I INTERVIEW NEXT?

1. Oren Charnoff from Fondue – a cashback solution that aims to replace traditional coupon codes and optimizes the customer incentive in an interesting way.

2. Ariyeh Even Haim from ReConvert – a leading Shopify app for the post-purchase experience, and Ariyeh was among the first to recognize its potential.

πŸŽ‰ WHAT'S ONE THING THE PUBLIC DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND THAT HAS LED YOU TO THIS POINT IN YOUR CAREER?

I began my career as a merchant while pursuing my B.Sc. degree in Software and Information Systems Engineering, and I was fortunate to develop my e-commerce company into a 7-figure business. I sold that company a few years ago with a strong desire to develop multiple solutions for e-commerce. Since then, I have also completed my M.Sc. degree in Machine Learning, and I have developed a passion for data science.

πŸ’‘ WHAT'S ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE PAID MORE ATTENTION TO IN THE WORLD?

Many people view the world in terms of immediate benefits, often relying on short-term thinking. I believe decisions should consider broader impacts, recognizing that one step can lead to further developments. In business, I hope that more attention is paid to the process of validating ideas by developing minimally viable, yet functional products. This approach allows for gathering real reactions and making data-driven decisions.

Thanks for the insights Amir!
